We’ve learnt through many hours of therapy and deep conversations in clinical settings, that much pain, suffering and anguish could have been avoided through open and appropriate conversation at young ages. The unambiguous implication is that our work must be focused on sexual education for healthy intimacy, in order to pre-emptively prevent issues from arising. Therefore, we established the educational wing of the Bekdusha center, which is called ‘Root and Branch’ (Shoresh Ve’anaf), comprised of several departments.

We believe that healthy, modest and open conversation is essential for a healthy and positive engagement with the challenges of adolescence. It is a holy obligation and privilege of every parent and teacher (including those who would normally refrain from talking about such things) to discuss yetzarim, sexuality and development in a clear, pleasant and holy way.
